APLNG operating after sixth cargo

Oil and gas producer Origin Energy says its Australia Pacific liquefied natural gas (APLNG) facility has switched to operating phase after shipping its sixth cargo.
Origin shipped its first cargo from Curtis Island in north Queensland to Asia on January 9 after the export-focused plant started production in December.
Australia Pacific LNG produces natural gas from the Surat and Bowen basins in Queensland, then pipes it to its LNG facility on Curtis Island where it is converted to LNG for export.
The project is a joint venture between Origin, ConocoPhillips and Sinopec.
