Demolition plans for Alinta's Port Augusta power stations

Alinta Energy has laid out its plans for the demolition of its power stations at Port Augusta, which are due to close in March next year.
Only one of the company's power stations is still in use.
Alinta Energy has already closed the coal mine at Leigh Creek which fuels the power stations, although trainloads of coal are continuing six times a week until March.
Alinta's program manager for closure, Brad Williams, was among the management team that last night presented a visualisation of the planned demolition to the Port Augusta City Council.
