Labor backs RET in current form: Combet
The federal government has today announced its response to the review of the Renewable Energy Target (RET), accepting most of the recommendations made in the report.
Minister for Climate Change Greg Combet told journalists that the main finding of the review – to leave the large-scale target of 41,000 gigawatt hours by 2020 unchanged – was agreed to by the government.
“This government is committed to the renewable energy target,” Mr Combet said, noting that "investment certainty" was the key theme of the review.
